Redfall: 10 pluses per 100 “BUT”
Redfall was an obvious failure. The rumor about her “exploits” went far ahead of her, and the score in the video verdict will not be a surprise to anyone. But with such games it’s always more interesting not to make sure that everything is bad or everything is good, but to figure out WHY IT IS SO. The project had everything to become an application for the best cooperative experience of 2023. But a hundred insidious “buts” stood in his way.

You can immediately see the undying youthful maximalism of handing out either Amazing or Garbage to everyone
Well, actually he had to talk about all the impressions he had. If a game, even just a little, even under a huge number of conditions, was able to provide a person with something good, then why not mention it?? Perhaps there will be someone for whom this will be enough.
In addition, it’s strange to talk about this argument-no-argument, considering that Ian himself literally immediately says that this does not save the game
The game was announced and advertised as a co-op that can be played solo, and not vice versa.
Ian has the most tube “Garbage” on SG :3
In defense of KP, I can say the following – Cyberpunk was bugged differently for everyone) I didn’t have anything described above, although I played on the first day after release and also as a nomad. but at the same time I had game breaking bugs in some missions (and they still exist if you load the old safe from this mission… just start again), which my friends did not have. and they had bugs that I didn’t have
and Redfall works equally poorly https://jackpocketcasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ for everyone! 😀
And if he had not said this, then there would have been people in the comments who would have said, “that on the highest difficulty, you can get some fun, but Ian is so bad that he didn’t try it and didn’t say it”
I also want to note that Cyber77 has been giving out grafon for all the money since the release. There are no questions about where the iron power goes. Unlike this game, which will produce a lousy and slow picture on everything.
NO. The game was positioned as a cooperative game from the very beginning. All marketing was built on this. Initially, they generally wanted to leave a permanent connection to the Internet even in a single player (or maybe it still exists, I haven’t checked). And from the very beginning of the game everything tells you that this is a CO-OP ORIENTED game. They force you to log in to the Gazebo, offer to choose one and 4 characters, hinting that you will have to synergize, instead of a menu you are immediately thrown into the lobby. And one of the features of the game is dialogue between partners. You can’t turn on bots in the game, if that happens.
So NO. The game is not intended to be a single player game at any point. And balance problems are balance problems, it’s just that Ian, and probably some other players, found in him a crutch that could at least slightly improve the gaming experience. Which, however, doesn’t save her.
It’s amazing, he found advantages there.
Well, that is exactly what happened in the comments under the video review of Jedi: Survivor. Maxim in the video quite clearly explained why he gave such a rating, and why this rating does not suit him 100%, but in the comments there are immediately cries of “Why not Raisin right away?”. ».
When I heard in 2021 that Arkane, one of my favorite studios, was making a game about vampires (a setting that is not too often seen anywhere), I was delighted!
..
And then a trailer came out, where an international quartet of “Tik-Tokers” kill vampires to the tune of near-rap. Disappointment has begun.
But then I thought, "Stop! It can’t all be THAT BAD!?». And I believed until the very end that Arcane would make a passable co-op shooter, but at the same time, a good immersive sim, which, once again, they don’t know how to advertise.
And so, after the release of the game, we were able to see that Arkane, the creator of the cult Arx and DM, the magical duology Dishonored and the magnificent Prey (which, at one time, helped me cope with a difficult period in my life) released… a crooked beta version of a hopeless co-op shooter about "Tik-Tokers" against vampires. Yes, such quality that the head of the direction, Broad Phil, essentially buried the game.
My disappointment knows no bounds, the review is good and I completely agree with the assessment.
How much have gaming standards fallen if games like this are released?.
Although… I will never forget the first day of Cyberpunk 2077 release. The trees were visible through the walls, and you simply couldn’t see what was happening at all. Especially when the action took place in a nomad camp – you could even hang yourself there. You just can’t see what the characters are doing, because CACTUSES!
Practice notes about every co-op game, the developer mentions that you can play it solo. And the words from the interview don’t mean anything at all. The game speaks for itself. From the very start, you are given the online and co-op component first of all. And the fact that this particular component is broken into rubbish, and it turns out to be better to play alone, does not justify the game at all. And even if we assume that the game was really designed for solo playthrough, it doesn’t make it better at all. This is still Arcane’s worst game, with a lousy level design, boring gameplay, bland storyline and simply in disgusting technical condition. So what, the game deserves its garbage. At least as a co-op, at least as a solitary.
I don’t aim to convince you, I liked the game – it’s great. But I played it with friends for a couple of hours. During this time we had: 5 disconnections, 2 crashes to the desktop for each of 3 people, textures that did not load for a minute or two, one did not load loot before rebooting, it simply wasn’t there, buggy cutscenes on the engine, enemies and allies that fell into the ground for half a dozen… This is in just 2 hours. And during this time we experienced simply boring shooting, an open world in which we could not find anything interesting except garbage, a hundred thousand notes and not a single normally staged cut-scene. And after the review, it became clear that it definitely wouldn’t get any better. So, without taking into account the technical condition, well, it’s a stretch, no more.
